Avvio Networks’ AM2502 is the control, monitoring and management interface for Avvio Networks’ A2050, A2500 and A4000 chassis. It features a serial port and a 10/100 Ethernet port for use as a management interface.
The AM2502 is used to configure the modules in a system. Once a module has been configured, it operates autonomously, that is, it needs no further contact with the AM2502. The AM2502 can however, monitor the modules in a system for events and alarms.
The Ethernet port can also be used to update system software from an FTP server. Software updates can be performed while the system is in operation without service disruption.
