Avvio Networks’ AM2560 Multiplexer is an optical edge device that multiplexes 4 OC-48/STM-16 signals at 1310nm or 1550nm into an OC-192/STM-64 signal at 1310nm, 1550nm or a DWDM wavelength. The AM2560 is designed for use in Avvio Networks’ A2050 and A2500 Chassis.
The AM2560 re-times, re-generates and re-shapes the optical signals for increased data reliability. Data can be clocked using an internal source or a recovered clock from any port. The AM2560 also features non-intrusive SONET/SDH overhead monitoring and can be configured to trigger alarms based on a number of error conditions.
The OC-48/STM-16 interfaces utilize user-accessible SFP transceivers available from Avvio Networks. The SFPs provide per-port interface flexibility.
The OC-192/STM-64 interface utilizes a user accessible XFP.
The AM2560 is managed via the AM2502 controller card, with SNMP, console and Telnet interfaces.The AM2560 is a single-width card for use in the A2050 or A2500 chassis.
