Leo Goyette – CEO – Founder
Leo's vision of an engineering-centric company with close customer ties and the ability to react quickly to customer requirements and industry trends allowed Avvio Networks to remain in business during the “Telecomm Nuclear Winter” when carrier spending was dramatically reduced and large numbers of startup companies closed their doors.
Prior to founding Avvio Networks, Leo worked in engineering at Xyplex, helping the company grow from a 10 person start-up to a $100mm publicly held company. After leaving Xyplex, he went to Telebit to develop their MICA program, which was key to Telebit’s acquisition by Cisco Systems a year later.
Leo attended the University of Lowell for his BS in Computer Science, although he has spent as much of his engineering career designing hardware as he has software.

Paul Brillaud brings over 20 years of experience to Avvio Networks in building and executing go-to-market strategy and sales for complex telecom and datacom systems, networks and services. In his last two positions, as VP of Sales at Cedar Point Communications and as Sr. Sales Director at Metaswitch, Paul led the new market development initiatives, focused on delivering converged IP network solutions to the Large Enterprise and selected carrier verticals.
Paul started his career as a R&D engineer with General Electric, followed by 12 years with AT&T Network Systems (Lucent), in senior product and business management roles, and finally as Sales Director to AT&T. Paul left Lucent in 1999, and held key sales positions with start-ups Wavesplitter Technologies (optical sub-systems) and Integral Access (IP Access Gateways).
Paul has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University and an M.B.A. from the Boston University School of Management.
